Full job description

  • As a Diet Clerk, you would have:

    • Enter and maintain standardized recipes within the menu management system.
    • Update and manage recipe database, including ingredients, measurements, and preparation details.
    • Ensure accurate allergen tagging and compliance with dietary regulations.
    • Perform regular audits to maintain data integrity and consistency across the system.
    • Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with culinary and nutrition teams.
    • Support continuous improvement of recipe data and system processes.
    • Assist with implementation and ongoing maintenance of the menu management system.
    • Update and maintain resident dietary profiles, including restrictions, preferences, and nutritional needs.
    • Support the creation and maintenance of personalized menus tailored to individual residents.

    About You

    • CSNM membership or Chef Training
    • Experience as nutrition manager or culinary in long term care setting as asset
    • Dietetics students/graduates looking for relevant experience in food services
    • Knowledge about long term care food services with culinary background will be an asset
    • Knowledge of recipe standardization, therapeutic diets
    • Working knowledge of menu management software like Mealsuite will be an asset
    • Computer proficiency – Microsoft office applications specifically excel spreadsheets
    • Ability to pay attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently
