Reporting to: VP, Operations

Job Summary:

Mint Smartwash is seeking a candidate who brings positivity and excitement to the role, is organized, inquisitive, data-driven, and has a strong background in operations, safety, people development and process control in support of our aggressive growth ambitions. As Area Manager, North you’ll work closely with the VP of Operations and Senior leadership in the development of best-in-class processes and programs that deliver a seamless customer experience while delivering on Mint’s financial commitments and targets.

Level Scope:

Oversees Mint Smartwash Operations at four locations in Alberta (Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary) which engage in millions of customer interactions across Western Canada every year. The Area Manager is responsible for delivering flawless execution of Mint’s Operational strategy with a focus on wash quality, efficiency (speed of wash) and the pursuit of repeatable, flawless customer service and experience. Further, the Area Manager is responsible for ensuring car washes are delivering to their financial commitments, key performance indicators and overall business objectives on a monthly and quarterly basis.

· You’ll be an active and visible leader at our car washes and our Argyll Edmonton location will be your primary office. You’ll spend approximately 30 – 40 % of your time at other locations in direct support and 1 to 2 days a month at Calgary Head Quarters.

· You’ll interact with and seek support from the VP, of Operations to discuss optimization opportunities at the wash, optimization opportunities will include any area in which the wash operations can be enhanced by procedural, standardization, or functional improvements.

· You’ll administer and oversee the budgets and financial execution for each location and the overall region you are responsible for, including PO and Bill approvals for your car wash area.

· You’ll lead the car damage process and implement training and education to standardize response and mitigate unnecessary expense

· You’ll lead and support the generation of site action plans to drive growth and revenue in partnership with Marketing and Sales leadership

· You’ll monitor and support site sales teams and processes and ensure that all sites are goal-focused, held accountable to pitching and delivering upon sales conversion targets

· You lead Mint in the relentless pursuit of our Mission of the most efficient wash and a seamless and repeatable customer service experience where we leave every customer ‘feeling Mint’

· You’ll lead and support the Joint Health and Safety Committees and ensure all employees understand our safe work practices and their responsibilities under the Work Safe Act

· You’ll be responsible for talent optimization and training at the washes including development plans for all positions including GMs to Shine Geniuses

· You will support the General Managers in creating and maintaining a talented and efficient team through hiring, termination, and employee change approvals/guidance.

· Support General Managers and employees with all incidents requiring external reporting – Insurance, WCB, OHS etc.

· Completing site audits including safety, operations, customer experience, and wash quality.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
