About Us

The Addiction Specialists is a private practice in Burlington specializing in outpatient addiction treatment for individuals still functioning in society. As well as trauma recovery, family therapy and support for first responders and Indigenous clients. We provide evidence‑based, compassionate care and are expanding due to high demand.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MSW RSW who can independently or under supervision manage addiction cases, trauma‑related presentations, relapse‑risk clients, and complex family dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual addiction counselling
  • Conduct intake assessments
  • Manage moderate‑to‑high acuity clients independently
  • Collaborate with clinical team
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Optional: facilitate groups or workshops

Required Qualifications

  • MSW RSW in good standing or a registered psychotherapist
  • Minimum 3–5 years clinical experience preferred but will entertain exceptional candidates
  • Strong addiction‑treatment competency
  • Experience with trauma, relapse prevention, and crisis management
  • Experience with first responders or Indigenous clients is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and ethically

Compensation

  • $40-80/hr depending on experience
  • OR 50–60% split for fully independent clinician
  • Flexible scheduling
