THIS IS FOR A PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION NON-BARGAINING UNIT POSITION.

1. OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Corporate Communications Manager leads LMCH’s strategic communications function to ensure employees, tenants, partners, elected officials, stakeholders and the community receive clear, timely and meaningful information that supports the organization's mission and strategic priorities.

The role is accountable for strengthening LMCH’s reputation by ensuring its challenges, successes, opportunities and impact are communicated effectively to staff, tenants, the Board of Directors, the City of London, Middlesex County, funding partners, media and the public. Acting as the organization's senior communications advisor, the Corporate Communications Manager provides strategic communications counsel to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team while leading internal communications, executive communications, media relations, issues management and corporate storytelling, and providing strategic communications support for stakeholder engagement initiatives.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Develop and implement LMCH's corporate communications strategy to support organizational priorities and strengthen stakeholder confidence.

· Ensure employees and tenants receive timely, accessible and meaningful communications that support engagement, understanding, and trust.

· Leads proactive communications that build awareness of LMCH's achievements, strategic priorities, operational challenges, and opportunities among key stakeholders.

· Provides strategic communications support to the CEO, Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team, including presentations, speaking notes, reports and key messages.

· Partners with senior leaders to identify communication priorities, develop communication plans and ensure consistent organizational messaging

· Leading media relations, issues management and crisis communications.

· Develops and oversees communication collateral including Board reports, Council reports, presentations, annual reports, media releases, newsletters, web content, social media, videos, speeches and executive communications.

· Leading and developing communications team.

3. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field.

· 6–9 years of progressively responsible communications experience, including leadership experience.

· Demonstrated experience leading strategic communications initiatives that support organizational priorities and change.

· Demonstrated ability to provide strategic communications advice and build trusted relationships with senior leaders, the Board of Directors and external stakeholders.

· Demonstrated success developing strategic communications for complex public, municipal, housing, healthcare or not-for-profit organizations.

· Experience measuring communications effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative performance measures.

· Exceptional writing, storytelling, presentation and media relations skills.

· Experience supporting stakeholder engagement, issues management and crisis communications within a complex organization.

· Commitment to accessibility, equity and inclusive communications.

· Experience and proficiency in Content Management Systems (Drupal), Microsoft Office Tools (Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Excel) and social media platforms required.

· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for daily use.

· Must be able to attend all London area properties within 30 minutes.

5. POLICE RECORDS CHECK:

This position requires the successful candidate submit a current Police Records check from their local police service. A current LMCH employee who is the successful candidate for this position must also provide this document unless it is already on file and not more than one year old.

6. SALARY & BENEFITS:

Target salary range of $76,894.73 - $95,590.01per annum; with comprehensive health benefits and OMERS pension plan.
