Job Overview

Where skill meets horsepower. Where precision keeps the big iron moving.
If you know your way around a lathe like most folks know their coffee machine, we want you. This isn’t a sit-back-and-watch role—it’s hands-on, high-precision, and full-throttle. You’ll be cutting, shaping, testing, and tweaking metal like a boss, turning raw stock into serious machinery that keeps industries moving. This role will work out in the field to support our Field Services team. If you want steady rotation, solid premiums, and work you can point to and say I built that, this is your next move.


Reports to: Supervisor, Welding/ Machining
Shift: 7x7 or 14x14- rotation of days and nights
Allowances: Additional premiums and allowances are associated with this position due to location
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 25% travel within Canada and potentially the USA
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Machine parts to spec using lathes, mills, and an industrial‑scale horizontal CNC boring mill
  • Read blueprints, measure tolerances, and inspect your own work with confidence
  • Set up and operate tools with precision, care, and pride
  • Diagnose, adjust, and maintain machines to keep production running smoothly
  • Support builds from layout to final assembly — including prototypes and one‑off parts
  • Keep your tools sharp, your workspace clean, and your standards high

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Journeyperson Machinist Certification (Red Seal preferred)
  • 5+ years of CNC experience — you know your way around the controls
  • Valid class 5 driver’s licence and ability to access customer mine sites
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to hit deadlines without cutting corners
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
