Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Customer Service professional to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks following established recipes and standards.
• Bake and prepare food.
• Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly service throughout their visit.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in math calculations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, food prep stations, and seating areas in compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and serving.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
• Uphold food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Support team members with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with POS system is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, basic math, and cashiering procedures.
• Experience with food preparation, serving, and maintaining food safety standards.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper hygiene protocols.
• Prior experience in the food industry or similar roles is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
• MAPAQ certified (else training and certification will be done during the first quarter of employment).
