About This Opportunity
This position is responsible for conducting various checks, monitors and tests of raw, in-process and finished products, as well as processes, to verify consistent production of high-quality products, to successfully meet the demands of our customers. This role follows regulatory requirements while adhering to Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal policies to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards as established by the Quality Assurance Department.
Responsibilities
- Mix the syrup, and adhere to quality control according to the standards established by the company.
- Prepare and handle raw materials and finished products in accordance with quality standards and requirements.
- Ensure the continuous production of syrup / mix according to quality standards
- Revise the production schedule to ensure ideal inventory levels in addition to ordering raw materials.
- Rotate stocks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area in accordance with the company's health and safety requirements.
- Provide maintenance, storage and disposal of water treatment chemicals.
- Pursuit of excellence; continuously develop technical and personal skills to achieve a world class manufacturing environment throughout the facility
- Analyze syrup beverage and/or water attributes.
- Audit materials including container rinsers, air blowers, filters, and coders to ensure proper operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivilent
- Bachelor's degree in science related field Post secondary diploma in a related field preferred
- 1 - 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience. - Food/beverage industry experience is considered an asset
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
- Readily accepts instruction from management/supervisors and executes effectively
- Reliable and open to a flexible schedule
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to read, write, and keep records
- Strong computer comprehension capabilities including Excel and Word and various quality programs
