The Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Analyst 2 (ServiceNow Developer) to join the IT Systems & Knowledge team within IT Operations & Infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Systems & Knowledge, the Systems Analyst 2 is responsible for sustaining existing business applications, deploying applications and developing or configuring applications, with a focus on ServiceNow. The Systems Analyst interacts with Business Analysts, user departments, technical specialists, system owners, translating business requirements into system-based solutions, including configuration, unit testing and conducting module walkthroughs; coordinates user reviews of configured applications; prepares and maintains a variety of reports and records related to the work; keeps abreast of recent developments in computer techniques and procedures; performs research, information assembly, organization and development of related documentation. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications include completion of a university degree at the Bachelor’s level in Computer Science, business information technology or a related discipline, plus sound related experience in systems analysis, application configuration and enterprise systems support, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist certificate are strong assets. Sound related experience as a ServiceNow Developer and experience implementing IT Service Management modules within ServiceNow, experience managing ServiceNow system configurations, gathering and documenting user and process requirements, developing workflow customizations, UI design, ACL and business rules, and performing quality assurance testing. Prior knowledge and experience with business analysis within a municipal environment, process modeling, cost benefit analysis, change management, and business process re-engineering will be considered an asset. Ability to utilize Agile and Scrum methodology, establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts, and to present proposals in non-technical language. Ability to develop detailed work plans to carry out technological changes; strong analytical, problem solving, and excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM –4:45 PM (Mutual Agreement between Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM).
