Collingwood Neighbourhood House (CNH) is a not-for-profit Society serving the Renfrew-Collingwood (RC) neighbourhood of East Vancouver. CNH’s mandate is to promote the well-being of the Renfrew-Collingwood community by providing leadership and working collaboratively with individuals, families, agencies and other groups to develop and support inclusive, innovative, sustainable initiatives and services that respond to the community’s social, educational, economic, health, cultural and recreational needs.

RISE is a community-based CHC that is part of the Primary Care Network strategy and funded by the Ministry of Health. RISE CHC supports the health and well-being of Renfrew-Collingwood residents who are facing barriers to achieving health by offering community-based primary care and health promotion services. Populations of focus include Newcomers, LGBTQ2S+, Indigenous, Isolated Seniors, Youth, people experiencing Homelessness, those working in the Sex Trade, and those experiencing Mental Health and Substance Use issues. Services are delivered by a diverse interdisciplinary team, working in partnership with other Collingwood Neighbourhood House departments and partnering agencies.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a pharmacy assistant to join our Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Assistant (PA) reports to the RISE CHC Pharmacy Manager and/or Staff Pharmacist. They provide excellent customer service, quality medication preparation and packaging, and administrative duties at RISE CHC Pharmacy. Additionally, the PA is expected to handle sensitive information confidentially and ensure a smooth pharmacy workflow by completing tasks in an accurate and efficient manner.

· Two (2) years’ recent related experience as a pharmacy assistant

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Excellent communication skills with patients and other healthcare providers

· Excellent planning, prioritization and time management skills

· Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

· Experience with WinRx Pharmacy software

· Experience with handling cash/card payments and using cash registers

· Must complete a Criminal Record Check if hired

· Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

· Fluency in identified non-official languages based on neighborhood demographics

· Previous experience working with culturally and economically diverse populations and marginalized communities

· Basic computer skills with troubleshooting connection to printers and other pharmacy related devices

JOB DETAILS

· Compensation:

o $26.16 - $29.30 per hour

o Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks per year (prorated for FTE) plus paid sick days

· Schedule: 14.5 hours/week (0.41 FTE)

o Mondays 9:30 am to 5:30 pm; Tuesdays 9:30am to 5pm

o One 60-minute lunch break (30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid)

o Availability to provide relief/sick coverage for other Pharmacy Assistants on weekdays

· Expected Start Date: August 24, 2026
