Hilton Garden Inn Fredericton Downtown

The Hilton Garden Inn Fredericton Downtown is seeking a highly motivated Bartender with strong initiative and a drive for personal achievement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, solid food and beverage knowledge, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and engage with them to determine beverage preferences
  • Make recommendations and take accurate drink orders
  • Plan drink menus and inform guests about new beverages and specials
  • Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages
  • Verify identification to ensure guests meet legal drinking age requirements
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies to keep the bar and service areas well-stocked
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality standards
  • Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area, including clearing tables and washing glassware, utensils, and equipment
  • Develop and introduce new cocktail recipes

Skills, Abilities & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a food and beverage environment
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and craft beer
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of hospitality industry principles, practices, and techniques
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
