Full job description

PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. is looking for experienced Carpenter Lead Hands and Forepersons to help lead our crews at the North Shore Waste Water Treatment Plant

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Understand, implement and enforce PCL's HSE program as well as local safety legislation
  • Being responsible for supervising our crews in a safe and efficient manner in order to minimize the risk of injury or damage to property or utilities
  • Working with sub trades and own forces to ensure safe work procedures are understood and followed
  • Being able to intervene and understand the methods used to ensure a safe, productive and quality project
  • Ability to set and communicate production goals with work crews to increase productivity
  • Responsible to teach and train crew members
  • Supervising and coordinating site construction activities with sub-trades and PCL’s own skilled craft workers
  • Working with the PCL team and the engineers, designers and inspectors to help meet the client's project requirements
  • Representing PCL to the public in a manner that is consistent with corporate values and goals

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of field supervision experience on Commercial, Industrial or Civil projects
  • proven track record of leading crews in formwork erection using Doka or Peri Systems
  • Hold a valid Carpentry Journeyperson trade certificate or a Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in the industry

Work Conditions:
