Company Overview

YWCA Toronto Employment Centre is supporting our Employer Partner with filling these exciting roles!

Shift - Night Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday to Friday - Fixed Term Contract with possibility of extension.

Overview

Looking for Embroidery Machine Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be operating Tajima or similar embroidery machines to create high-quality embroidered letters and numbers for our products. You ll also work on garments and hats. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role and a great eye for detail. We are willing to train the right person on specific tasks and skills.

Location: Eglinton and Caledonia in North York. In-person.

Duties:

● Operate Machines: Set up and run our embroidery machines to create designs,

primarily laser-cut letters and numbers. You will be responsible for making sure the stitches

(zig-zag or satin) are clean and precise.

● Prepare Products: Get garments and hats ready for the embroidery process.

● Check for Quality: Inspect your work to ensure every piece meets our quality

standards. This includes checking for correct placement, color, and stitch quality.

● Maintain Equipment: Perform basic daily maintenance and help troubleshoot any

simple machine issues that may come up.

● Work with the Team: Communicate effectively with your supervisor and teammates to

stay on schedule and ensure a smooth production flow.

Qualifications:

Experience operating Tajima or similar multi-head embroidery machines. Minimum 2

years of experience.

● A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

● Ability to follow instructions and work orders.

● Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

● Willing to stand for long periods and lift up to 6 lbs.

● Experience with hooping is a plus, but not required.

● Shifts 11Am - 7AM
