About Us

Aura on the Lake is Niagara-on-the-Lake's first authentic Indian restaurant, located in the heart of one of Canada's most celebrated wine country destinations. We take pride in delivering a genuine Indian dining experience to both local guests and visitors from around the world. Our kitchen is the soul of everything we do, and we are looking for passionate cooks who share that belief.

The Role

We are looking for experienced Indian cuisine cooks to join our kitchen team. Whether you are a skilled prep cook, a confident line cook, or somewhere in between, we want to hear from you. You will work alongside a dedicated team in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment where attention to detail and a love for authentic Indian food are non-negotiable.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes to consistent, high standards
  • Supporting menu planning, portion control, and food cost management under chef guidance
  • Managing inventory and maintaining accurate records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Keeping the kitchen running smoothly through organized prep and efficient production
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic and well-organized kitchen at all times

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Indian cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients and terminology
  • Culinary certification, diploma or degree is an asset
  • Completion of secondary school required
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented and a strong team player
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Niagara-on-the-Lake or plan to relocate prior to starting
