Primary Care Physician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients across all age groups, focusing on preventive health, diagnosis, and treatment of various conditions. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health outcomes through personalized care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires a strong foundation in patient care, and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Accuro, CBS

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across diverse patient populations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration and pain management strategies
  • Coordinate care with specialists, home care providers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Collect and analyze patient data to monitor health trends and improve care quality
  • Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health records (Accuro, CBS)
  • Assist in research initiatives aimed at improving clinical practices and patient outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical advancements

Experience

  • Prior hospital experience or acute care experience is highly desirable
  • Proven background in patient care within a primary or family medicine setting
  • Experience with medical office procedures and data collection techniques
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols
  • Knowledge of pediatric care principles is preferred
  • Experience working with electronic health record systems such as Accuro or CBS is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to primary care practice
  • Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within other healthcare team

Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Saskatchewan College of Physicians
