We're looking for a Senior Analyst, Finance & Business Strategy who wants to do more than report on the numbers — and who has the ambition to grow into a Finance leadership role. You'll work directly with senior management, help shape important business and investment decisions, build the financial cases behind our next phase of growth, and develop broad exposure across the organization.

For the right person, we've designed this role with a planned path toward becoming our future Corporate Controller.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this is a broad, cross-functional role combining financial planning and analysis, business analysis, operational improvement and strategic business development.

You'll work closely with our Corporate Controller and have regular exposure to the President and senior leadership team. You'll help us understand what's driving performance, identify opportunities to operate more effectively, and turn financial and operational information into recommendations that improve the business.

You'll also play an important role in our growth strategy. As we develop new partnerships with developers, property managers and other strategic partners, you'll help build the financial models and business cases behind those opportunities — and participate alongside senior leadership in proposals, presentations and partner discussions.

For someone looking to develop beyond a traditional analyst position, this role offers unusually broad exposure to finance, operations, strategy and commercial decision-making.

A Planned Path to Finance Leadership

This role is being hired with succession in mind. As part of our Finance leadership plan, we expect to create a transition opportunity into the Corporate Controller role over approximately the next 1–3 years.

Our goal is to hire someone with the capability and ambition to grow into that position and to deliberately develop them toward it through increasing ownership, leadership exposure and broader financial responsibility.

Advancement will ultimately depend on demonstrated performance, development and readiness, but for the right candidate, this is intended to be a genuine career path — not simply a possibility that may emerge someday.

What You'll Do

• Prepare financial performance and variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, identifying underlying drivers, risks and opportunities.

• Support annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasting and scenario modelling.

• Analyze customer, regional, market and property-level profitability, as well as rates, revenue and margins.

• Develop, monitor and improve organizational KPIs and performance metrics.

• Turn financial and operational data into clear insights and practical recommendations for senior management.

• Work across the organization to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities to improve productivity, service delivery and financial performance.

• Analyze and document business processes and workflows and help develop more efficient and standardized ways of working.

• Support system implementations, upgrades, automation opportunities and improvements to reporting and business intelligence.

• Develop financial models and business cases for new properties, markets and strategic partnerships.

• Evaluate alternative commercial structures, including revenue-sharing arrangements, through scenario, sensitivity and break-even analysis.

• Help assess opportunities from both Premiere Suites' and our partners' perspectives to develop commercially sustainable structures.

• Translate detailed analysis into compelling management and partner-facing presentations.

• Participate with senior leadership in proposals, bids and discussions with developers, property managers and other strategic partners.

• Track significant initiatives and partnerships against their original business cases to determine whether expected results are being achieved.

• Complete ad hoc financial, operational and strategic analysis as business needs arise.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is analytical, commercially curious and interested in understanding how a business really works. You should be comfortable getting into the details, but equally interested in what those details mean and what the organization should do about them.

Our ideal candidate brings:

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.

• Progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, commercial finance, business analysis, consulting, corporate strategy or a related analytical role.

• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance and profitability analysis.

• A strong understanding of financial statements and how operational decisions affect financial performance.

• The ability to independently investigate a business problem, analyze the information available and develop a practical recommendation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn detailed analysis into clear presentations for decision-makers.

• Strong business and commercial judgment and a willingness to constructively challenge assumptions.

• Confidence working with senior leaders and, with experience, external business partners.

• A proactive and curious mindset — someone who asks "why?", looks beyond the numbers and identifies opportunities rather than simply producing the analysis requested.

Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is an asset. Experience in hospitality, real estate, property management or another multi-location or service-based organization would also be valuable.

A CPA designation, progress toward a CPA designation, MBA or other relevant professional qualification is a strong asset, but is not required for the right candidate.
