Experienced Server – Morris East Halifax (Quinpool Road Area)

Morris East is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic server to join our team!

At Morris East, we pride ourselves on serving exceptional food and wine while creating memorable experiences for our guests. We're looking for someone who is hardworking, personable, and passionate about hospitality. You'll be joining a supportive team with a positive workplace culture where you'll have opportunities to grow and develop your skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, professional service while managing your own section
  • Guide guests through the menu and make food, wine, beer, and cocktail recommendations
  • Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and assist with table maintenance
  • Process cash, debit, and credit card payments
  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, and cocktails
  • Answer phones and process takeout orders through both phone and online ordering systems
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to provide an outstanding guest experience

  • Has excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Is passionate about food, wine, and hospitality
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness and professionalism
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Takes pride in delivering exceptional guest service

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of serving experience preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Comfortable performing wine service at the table
  • Bartending experience is considered an asset
  • Serve Right certification is required
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset

While we are happy to train the right candidate, applicants with previous serving and wine service experience will be given preference.
