Holiday Inn Ottawa East is looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Cook to join our Food & Beverage team.

If you enjoy cooking, working in a fast-paced kitchen, and take pride in preparing quality food, this could be a great fit for you!

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menus, and hotel standards.
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and other food service operations.
  • Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served safely and at the proper temperatures.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and workstation.
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Monitor food quality and minimize food waste.
  • Properly store and rotate food supplies.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • Communicate effectively with the Chef, kitchen team, and Food & Beverage staff.
  • Follow all hotel, health and safety, and food safety policies.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience is an asset.
  • Food Handler certification is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Schedule: Flexible shifts; mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
