Are you passionate about food, customer service, and working in a fast-paced team environment?

Scarlett House Food Group is seeking a motivated and reliable Restaurant Worker for a contract position. In this role, you will support daily kitchen and food service operations, assist with food preparation and show cooking, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanour, ethics, image, and reinforce the importance of a high standard of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
  • Assists the Chef in all aspects of food preparation
  • Helps in setting up show cooking station for breakfast and lunch service, paying close attention to stocking all menu items
  • Completes all show cooking for breakfast and lunch; paying particular attention to providing excellent customer service
  • Assists in storing supplies from vendors pertaining to the kitchen, adhering strictly to FIFO (First in First out) practices
  • Ensures all areas of the kitchen and show cooking are kept clean and sanitized at all times
  • Ensures walk in refrigerator is organized, clean and sanitized
  • Ensures all leftover food is dated and stored properly
  • Provides assistance to other stations as required
  • Participates in cleaning all areas of food and beverage prep upon end of shift
  • Complies with maintenance guidelines for the restaurant and equipment
  • Assist with office board room catering (stage, deliver, set up and clean up) as required.
  • Adhere to SHFG uniform, grooming and hygiene policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Shows enthusiasm and motivation to complete job requirements in a timely manner.
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to work in a high-volume kitchen environment to prepare large quantities of food
