Full job description

Why Work for Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS):

At Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS), you'll be part of a team dedicated to helping children and youth overcome barriers to learning and thriving at school. Working alongside school communities, partners, governments, donors, and volunteers, we provide programs that improve students' health, well-being, and opportunities for success.

Recognized by Charity Intelligence Canada as one of Canada's Top 10 Impact Youth Charities and among the Top 100 Highest-Rated Canadian Charities, TFSS offers the opportunity to do meaningful work that creates a lasting impact for students across Toronto.

The Opportunity

Love telling stories that make a difference? Use your creativity to help Toronto kids thrive.

As our Multimedia Content Producer, you won't just capture photos and videos. You'll help shape how TFSS tells its story. Through compelling visual content, you'll showcase the impact of our programs, highlight the experiences of children and youth across Toronto, and inspire donors, partners, volunteers, and the broader community to support our mission.

You'll also help strengthen programs by leading the creation of our Digital Training Library. From instructional videos and training sessions to other digital learning resources, your work will help volunteers build the knowledge and confidence they need to support students every day.

No two weeks will look the same. One day, you'll be filming a morning nutrition program or after-school program. The next, you’ll be producing a volunteer training session in our School Food Hub Volunteer Training Centre, editing footage into polished learning resources, or developing creative content that helps our community understand the impact of TFSS.

What You’ll Do:

· Plan, coordinate, and create multimedia projects from start to finish, including developing ideas, storyboarding, filming, editing, final production, and publishing across relevant platforms.

· Develop and produce photo and video content that showcases TFSS programs and initiatives, including:

o Bridging the Nutrition Gap at Student Nutrition Programs (early morning)

o beyond 3:30 after-school programs (afternoon/early evening)

o Gift of Sight and Sound (morning)

o Other initiatives as needed

· Lead the development and production of digital learning resources for TFSS’s Digital Training Library, including concept development, filming, editing, packaging, and publishing of instructional videos, demonstrations, webinars, and recorded training sessions that support volunteers across Toronto.

· Create multimedia content calendars and project timelines to support communications priorities, campaigns, donor reporting, and organizational initiatives.

· Create compelling multimedia content for donor communications, reports, campaigns, social media, websites, and other organizational materials.

· Manage and maintain TFSS’s digital media library, ensuring photos, videos, and training resources are organized and accessible.

· Edit and adapt multimedia content into various formats optimized for different audiences and platforms.

What We’re Looking For:

· Diploma or degree in multimedia production, film and video production, photography, digital communications, marketing, or a related field.

· Experience planning, filming, editing, and delivering high-quality photo and video content from concept to completion.

· Strong photography, videography, lighting, and audio recording skills.

· Experience filming live events, training sessions, webinars, or presentations, or producing instructional videos, is considered an asset.

· Proficiency with video editing and design software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar platforms.

· A natural storyteller with a creative eye and the ability to create engaging content that connects with audiences.

· A portfolio or samples of previous photo and video work are considered an asset.

· Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with children and youth, volunteers, staff, donors, and community partners in a variety of settings.

· Comfortable independently travelling to schools and community sites across Toronto, as well as filming in a studio or training environment.

· A valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed in accordance with TFSS policy).

Please note that, as a condition of employment, the successful applicant must complete a

Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Reference Check.
