BOMImed Inc. is seeking an outgoing, passionate, and self‑motivated individual with an interest in travel, technical service, and healthcare to join our Technical Service team supporting the Manitoba/NW Ontario region.

Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and commission respiratory, anesthesia, and other medical equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and periodic manufacturer service (PMS)
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including unscheduled service calls
  • Plan and maintain service schedules in accordance with service contracts
  • Accurately document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Order required parts and maintain an inventory of commonly used service components
  • Identify and escalate equipment issues to the Service Manager as needed

Education & Experience

  • Proven experience in maintenance or repair of electronic or mechanical systems, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools for repairs and adjustments.
  • Graduate of a recognized educational institution as a Technician or Technologist in Electronics or Biomedical.
  • Two years’ experience preferred but willing to train the right individual.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to travel to the USA

Skills Required

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Strong IT knowledge and understanding.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proven ability to operate independently.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize job requests and tasks.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work with hospital Biomedical, Nursing, and other personnel to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair problems and issues that arise from our customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and frequently bend down.
  • Must have the ability to travel on domestic and international flights.
