The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Physiotherapy Program of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.

Position title: Assistant Professor

Duties: Academic staff functions include, in varying proportions:

  • Teaching;

  • Scholarly activities such as research or professional work;

  • Academic service;

  • Graduate student supervision.

Terms: New tenure-track position.

Salary: Salary scale for an assistant professor starts at $99,377 (according to the salary scale in effect as of May 1, 2025).

Required qualifications:

  • Professional affiliation: Member of, or eligible for membership in, the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

  • Education: PhD in Rehabilitation or equivalent.

  • Work experience:

    • Excellent research record in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

    • Demonstrated experience in university-level teaching and training.

    • Ability to teach and communicate effectively in French. Please note that the physiotherapy program is offered exclusively in French. Tenure is conditional upon passive (or active) knowledge of English.

The following will be considered assets:

  • Postdoctoral experience.

  • Experience teaching physiotherapy at the university level.

  • Clinical experience in physiotherapy.

  • French-English bilingualism.
