Stevested Machinery Engineering Ltd. has a long-standing history of over 55 years in the Machining business and is currently focusing on the next phase with a brand-new facility located in Campbell Heights North, Surrey, BC with exciting new challenges that are moving our company into the future. The Role:

If you are a highly skilled, motivated Machinist Apprentice looking for a stable job, where you will be challenged, where your skills, work ethic, innovation and creativity will shine, Stevested is the machine shop for you!

Is this the right fit for YOU:

  • 1+ years’ experience as a CNC Machinist /Apprentice
  • Your ability to work a Afternoon shift (Monday - Thursday 12:30PM-10:30PM)
  • Experience and direct knowledge in: operating CNC machines to tight tolerances, accurately interpreting drawings & blueprints, working with geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining
  • Meeting production goals in terms of cycle time and quality
  • Ensuring compliance with our quality standards & procedures
  • Troubleshooting machining problems during processes to ensure efficiency of procedures
  • Achieving Company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value
  • Good communication skills to include written/oral English and works well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and ability to work well independently and with supervision
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, and high production pressure
  • Maintains safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Being punctual and reliable to attend work for a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Performing maintenance, housekeeping duties, and other duties as assigned
