Sample Room Associate

The Sample Room Associate, is primarily responsible for creating sample boards and showroom displays to help inspire clients. This position requires great attention to detail, organization and understanding of our products. The role also requires great communication skills while collaborating with and working alongside other business units to ensure great quality of work. Displaying punctuality and time management skills, working with low supervision and being able to meet deadlines is key in this position.

Job Duties

• Prepare excellent display boards with tile chips, pictures and labels
• Monitors all incoming requests to ensure they are being addressed in a timely fashion
• Ability to lift up to 20lbs without assistance and work in a workshop setting
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Familiarity with building and tools an asset
• Working in a somewhat noisy environment along with tile dust while remaining productive and not being distracted
• Ability to demonstrate great attention to detail and execution of projects with low supervision
• Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
• Ensure that all health, safety, and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met
• Analyze problems and make recommendations as to root causes and corrective actions
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi task effectively
• Collaborating with Warehouse Associates and working harmoniously with other business units including sales teams, Logistics Managers, Operations Managers, etc.
• Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
• Present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients/customers, visitors, and other external stakeholders
• Effective communication on the phone, by email, and in the showroom, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
• Able to use technology (ERP, Microsoft Office specifically Excel)
• Maintain overall clean and organized work environment
• Other Duties as required

Job Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to analyze and interpret potential issues as they arise and develop the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
• Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
• Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
• Demonstrated time management skills
• High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Ability to adapt to new technology

Work Conditions

• Noisy workshop
