Full job description

Four Winds is looking to add an integral member to our team, right in the heart of our operation, the Brewhouse. We are looking for a Brewer with a strong work ethic and sense of teamwork, who excels in high paced work environments. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for craft beer and Brewhouse Operations.

Job Description:

The Brewer is responsible for the brewing process, from preparation of the raw materials through to the end of fermentation, as well as the regular cleaning of Brewhouse vessels and workspace. This is a PM role with an expected schedule start times from 10am-12pm and finishing from 6pm-8pm. 8 hour shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operation of the Brewhouse with keen attention to detail and accuracy

- Milling, Mashing, Lautering, Mashing out, Boiling, Whirlpooling, and Knocking out

- Documentation of brewing activities

- CIP and sanitization of brew vessels including but not limited to Mash Kettle, Lauter, Boil Kettle and Heat Exchanger

- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment

- Setting up and sanitizing fermentation vessels

- Yeast management including harvesting, pitching, and record keeping

- Use of proper PPE

- Adherence to established recipes and processes

- Daily communications with QC to ensure quality standards are met.

- Communication of any necessary changes in recipes or processes to supervisor

- Communication of maintenance needs to keep production on schedule and ensure team member safety

Minimum Qualifications:

- 2+ years brewing experience

- Brewing education a plus
