Life & DI Insurance Client Services Rep – Individual Insurance Brokerage

General Summary

The Insurance Advisory Group Inc. (IAG) is a national firm providing individual Life, Disability and Critical Illness coverage to high net worth individuals and major corporations.
Reporting to the company’s Operations Manager in our Toronto office, you will be responsible for servicing personal and corporate Life, Disability and Critical Illness insurance programs, perform general administrative tasks and complete business processing in our Toronto office. Note, this is not a remote position.

Essential Functions

  • Client service for professional brokerage firm’s Corporate clients
  • Provide Microsoft Office suite and database (Equisoft-Kronos) support
  • Prepare client proposals, renewal reports and correspondence
  • Maintain correspondence and computerized data files.
  • Perform clerical tasks, i.e., filing, copying and scanning as needed
  • Answer routine client inquiries.
  • Process new business applications and underwriting follow up

Detailed Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze renewal reports for corporate Disability insurance programs

- Prepare general correspondence for clients, i.e., plan administrators, HR, CFOs, etc.

- Coordinate with MGA staff to ensure policies are issued efficiently

- Preparation of proposals for our senior sales advisors, compiling various Word, Excel and PDF documents in a professional manner

- Use industry quotation software to prepare basic Disability, Life and Critical Illness proposals

- Database information input

- Conduct review of existing client information

- Contact clients to update files and database

- Respond to client inquiries

- Follow-up on applications and contracts with MGA

Qualifications Required

- Life insurance licensed (LLQP) in the Province of Ontario is an asset

- Minimum of 3 years in individual Disability and Life insurance sales administration

- Life and corporate Disability insurance product knowledge

- Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook), Database software (Equisoft- Kronos an asset) and PDF software

- Strong organizational and customer service skills catering to corporate clients

- Bilingual (French) – would be an asset, but not required

The primary responsibilities will be to provide client service support to sales staff through the preparation of proposals, processing of renewals, the creation and maintenance of both physical and electronic files, including the entry into the company's database in a timely manner. You are required to comply with compliance standards as established by IAG.

Salary, commensurate with experience and licensing status, $65K - $75K plus benefits, 4 weeks vacation annually, convenient downtown Toronto office location near transit and many other perks!
