Full job description

Now hiring Serving Bartenders and Backline Porting staff.

Big Valley Jamboree (BVJ)

CAMROSE, ALBERTA

July 30 - August 2, 2026
Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Positions:

  • Bartender
  • Porter

Salary:

  • Bartender: $16.25/hour + TIPS
  • Porter: $21.25/hour + TIPS

Availability:

Open and Close times (shifts vary within these times):

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday July 30-August 2: 12:00pm - 2:00am

1. Staff Camping (complimentary access, bring your own equipment)

2. You have your own accommodations, and/or will be traveling to/from site

General Duties & Expectations:

Bartenders (frontline):

  • Sell beverage products to patrons via POS (point-of-sale) systems, accepting card payment only
  • Salable products include bottled water, canned varieties, and ounce alcohol. Hard alcohol mixes are kept simple (ie. highball)
  • Assist stocking cups, ice, etc when necessary
  • Keep working area clean and tidy

Porters (backline):

  • Keep products stocked
  • Keep products chilled with ice
  • Carry canned products short distances (~30 lbs each)
  • Keep working area clean and tidy and break down cardboard

REQUIREMENTS:

  • All staff must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Bartending staff must hold a valid Alberta ProServe certification.
  • Porting staff do not require a Alberta ProServe certification.
  • You will need to source transportation and food for yourself and/or your group.
