Company Overview

Appleby Landscape is a premier full-service landscape company in the Burlington and Oakville areas for over 35 years. We pride ourselves on our expertise in high-end residential property maintenance and landscape construction while utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and fostering a positive workplace culture.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our growing team maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our clients' properties.

Responsibilities

  • You will work collaboratively with a team to perform maintenance of high-end residential properties.
  • Daily responsibilities include:
  • friendly customer service
  • lawn mowing and trimming
  • garden bed maintenance including weeding and edging
  • regular maintenance of your fleet (truck, trailer, equipment)
  • Assistance with planting, installing mulch, and overseeding.
  • Follow safe practices and company policies.
  • You will report to your Crew Leader.

Requirements

  • Preferably one or more years of relevant landscape experience.
  • Valid G2 drivers license or higher.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Physically able to perform all of the aspects of your role including lifting up to 23 kg.
  • Certified safety footwear in good condition.
  • Your own transportation to and from our facility.
  • Students returning to school in September need not apply.

Work Schedule

  • April to December.
  • Tuesday to Friday. Approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Average of 10 hours per day.

Our Certifications

Apprentice Employer, GROW Program Verified Employer, Member of Landscape Ontario and Canadian Nursery Landscape Association for over 35 years.

Your Compensation

  • $20 to $28 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated abilities.
  • Annual bonus based on performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in landscaping or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of garden maintenance practices.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus for equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
