Hospitality Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading a high-performing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing café or food service operations and possess the leadership skills to grow our hospitality offerings into a destination experience for people and their dogs.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in hospitality management, café operations, restaurant management, or a similar guest-focused environment.
  • Experience managing either quick service (short-order), take-out and full lunch service style cooking.
  • Strong knowledge of café operations, including barista standards, beverage quality, workflow optimization, and staff training.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing hospitality teams while fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Experience creating staff schedules, managing labour budgets, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels based on business demand.
  • Experience sourcing food products, beverages, supplies, and vendors while maintaining inventory levels and controlling food costs.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, weekly inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience with menu development or menu curation, including seasonal offerings, specialty beverages, grab-and-go items, or café programming.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and operational compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to solve problems proactively.
  • A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and continuously improving hospitality operations for humans and their dogs.

Preferred Qualifications

The following would be considered strong assets:

  • Culinary experience as an amateur chef, culinary enthusiast, or previous kitchen leadership experience.
  • Experience with catering, event hospitality, or premium guest experiences.
  • Background in specialty coffee, espresso-based beverages, or café concept development.
  • Experience working within premium hospitality environments such as boutique cafés, hotels, wineries, golf clubs, resorts, or destination attractions.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000–$60,000 annually.

Starting compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, leadership background, and overall fit with the organization. Country Paws Dogplex reserves the right to offer compensation above or below this range where appropriate based on the candidate's demonstrated expertise and the value they bring to the role.

Performance-based incentives and opportunities for future compensation growth may also be available based on business performance and individual contributions.

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
