Responsibilities for Casual Surveillance Security Guard

  • Monitor the premises to ensure security
  • Conduct patrols to spot any suspicious activity
  • Address incidents or potential threats quickly
  • Write detailed reports on events and incidents
  • Control access points and check identification
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security
  • Partner with authorities during serious situations

Qualifications for Casual Surveillance Security Guard

  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security worker license
  • First aid certification - OFA1 (or higher) required
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and report writting skills
  • Candidate must be able to comply with workplace safety requirements, including proper respirator fit-testing (incl. effective seal) and the safe use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
