This position is located in Cochrane and requires a split-shift schedule FRIDAY/SATURDAY (7AM-6:00 PM) with a mid day break, applicants who live in Cochrane or the immediate surrounding area are strongly preferred.

We are now hiring for our busy season ! We are looking for a responsible and committed individual that MUST LOVE DOGS and are comfortable working with dogs.. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a genuine love for dogs, has previous experience working with dogs and can provide high-quality dog care to our guests.

This is a high energy, physical role that requires you to be confident in managing groups of dogs of all sizes, energy levels and temperaments. This role involves a lot of cleaning that has to be completed in a timely manner. Good customer service skills is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing groups of dogs. Supervise the outdoor romper play sessions while interacting with dogs and initiating play & daily activities.
  • Clean up after dogs. Cleaning yards. You must be comfortable cleaning up poop/pee.
  • Administer medications if needed.
  • Greeting clients and handling drop off and pick ups of dogs.
  • Adminstration duties. Include fielding emails, phone calls and social media messages, as well as daily social media posts
  • Cleaning of the entire facility, including office, romper rooms and dog rooms and doing laundry.
  • Feeding dogs and supplying fresh water throughout the day as needed.
  • Bathing dogs as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with dogs/animals.
  • Familiarity with various dog breeds and behaviours.
  • A self starter
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • A passion for taking care of dogs.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Punctuality is important for this role
  • Excellent communication with a friendly and professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to be active and on your feet most of the day.
  • Self motivator, confident in taking initiative And attention to details.
  • Must be proactive and able to think on your feet.
