Opportunity:
WeVend is currently seeking a Mobile Application Developer to develop mobile applications which support our break through payment processing technology. This position is based at our head office location in North York, ON. WeVend is a Fintech, iOT and payment device solutions provider, enabling seamless device control and payments technologies for targeted retail verticals.
Mobile Application Developer
As our new Mobile Application Developer, you will be a key addition to our development/technical team. We will count on you to develop important applications that will integrate with our current technology and platforms, as well as new technologies to drive us forward in an ever-changing industry. You will be tasked with application development, initial QA, some installations, maintenance, and necessary updates, etc. As our company evolves, so will our technological needs.
This will require you to be innovative and cutting edge in order to optimize current systems and continuously develop application add-ons and integrations to meet our customers ever changing verticals. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, IT, the Mobile Application Developer will perform the following duties:
- Complete coding and build of mobile software per product roadmap and customer requirements
- Formulate, design, and implement mobile solutions per customer requirements
- Test applications to ensure they are working properly
- Provide end-user support as needed
- Responsible for troubleshooting
- Stay on top of security threats and ensure updates to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with other developers and IT personnel
- Assesses and update existing applications
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience doing mobile applications development
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, or related field
- Experience using Kotlin/Java/Java Scripts/TypeScript/RESTful API’s web services
- Experience with UI/UX, React Native
- Experience working on developing Android SDK/libraries, iOS native libraries
- Experience developing using MVVM + Clean Architecture
- Experience with Version Control Platforms
- Experience with Test Driven Development, and Test Automation
- Effective collaborator with both non-technical and technical team members
- Participation from inception to launch of new products/projects
- Experience using Jira, and documentation using Confluence
- Familiarity with IoT protocols and direct interaction with physical hardware interfaces (e.g., MDB, DEX, serial communication) is a strong plus
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
