About Ray-Mont Logistics

Ray-Mont Logistics is a dynamic organization focused on becoming the essential link in the international business logistics supply chain. We provide various operational logistics services such as loading, transportation and storage of surplus products.

Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking a permanent full time Production Operator to join its vibrant team. The Production Operators will be responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of production handling.

Your Work Schedule

  • Day Shift: From 5:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Night Shift: From 5:30 pm - 5:30 am
  • 12-hour shifts (3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off)
  • The schedule is 42 hours per week on average, with alternating 36-hour and 48-hour weeks.

Pay: $33.17 per hour

Your Work Environment

  • Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors throughout all weather conditions.
  • English Language needed

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Participate in training of other workers
  • Control process start-up, shut-down and troubleshooting
  • Participate in safety audits and programs
  • Provide emergency response when required
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations
  • Load and unload goods
  • Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
  • Operate forklift
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Manually and with the assistance of equipment, move, load, and unload materials and products to support production and operational workflows.
  • Safely operate machinery such as forklifts, bobcats, and other equipment to transport materials and support production processes.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reporting issues to the maintenance team.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of two years of production line experience is required
  • Good communication skills; Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
  • Physically in shape: The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
  • Previous experience operating equipment (forklift, bobcat) is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure, time constraints and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

  • Are you legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the employment and able to pass a background check if required?
  • This role requires relocation to Prince Rupert, BC. Are you willing and able to relocate at your own expense?
