Administrative Assistant to a Financial Advisor (Full Time, Permanent)
Investia Financial Services\Panorama Wealth Management - Kanata, ON

Highly successful Wealth Management practice in Kanata seeks a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills to assist in daily office operations. The ideal candidate is client-focused and detail-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task. The candidate will learn the inner workings of a financial firm from both an administrative and financial perspective. You will work closely with a Financial Planner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing & sending paperwork that abide by all company and industry regulations, ensuring all paperwork and processes are compliant within the industry’s heavily regulated mandates, processing trades and ensuring all documentation is compliant and filed in accordance with the company’s policies & procedures, managing client requests and preparing correspondence when required. It will also entail scheduling appointments, tracking and monitoring client meetings, and performing general clerical support functions within an office setting. The candidate must demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail and possess strong computer skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in the Financial Services industry is required
  • Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred, but not required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail a must.
  • A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organizational and client servicing skills.
  • Personable, comfortable engaging clients as a regular part of daily duties.
  • Dedicated commitment to providing superior customer service with a focus on quality.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Projects a professional and consistent image according to our corporate standards.
  • Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with various computer products and applications, such as MS Word, Excel and Adobe.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Being licensed, or completion of the IFIC or CSC courses and ability to be registered with CIRO is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of tax return preparation would be a plus.
  • English Essential. French considered an asset but not required

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
