Full job description

The Office Administration Technician is accountable to the Owner/Senior Manager in the support of effective administrative, communication, customer service, specific accounting and client file management and client relations. This includes but not limited to: bookkeeping, GST preparation, tax returns, administrative support of the Owner/Senior Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Preference given to persons with formal office admin and accounting past work experience
  • Must have a clean criminal record and provide a copy of clearance
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, respect privacy and be discrete
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting processes
  • Must be able to multitask, time manage and set personal timelines, highly organized and accountability to tasks
  • Ability to build and support client relationships
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated oral (phone and in person) and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using a variety of computer programs. Preference will be given to candidate with experience using MS Office, Quickbooks Desktop and QBO, Caseware, Profile, and Client Track. Strong organization skills physically and digitally
  • Front Reception Duties
  • Monitoring and ordering office supplies
  • Attend to business outside the office as required. This isn’t a daily occurrence and would include going to the bank, sending items through UPS, picking up supplies that can’t be delivered.
