Full job description

Optimil Machinery is a name recognized around the world as a leader in primary and secondary log processing machinery, as well as providing log and board optimization systems for the progressive sawmill. Since its founding in 1984, Optimil's objective has been to help progressive sawmillers produce more lumber from their existing wood resource.

We are looking for creative, dynamic, passionate, hard-working, goal-oriented, engaged talent to join our team at our plant in Delta (Tilbury) and help us execute big ideas.

Job Duties:

- configure, troubleshoot and keep up to date Windows Servers

- install and maintain basic software such as Windows 10, Office 365, Solidworks, AutoCAD and others

- troubleshoot, assist and fix issues with office equipment and IP phones

- maintain and test the server backup system

- maintain and manage the IP phone system

- maintain the company webpage and keep it at the top of relevant industry-related searches

- maintain and manage internal signage systems

- maintain website service with web hosting

- identify parts and software to purchase for office computers

Qualifications:

- Certification in relevant IT discipline and/or a diploma in a relevant field preferred

- minimum 1-3 years experience in similar position required

- knowledge of virtualization an asset

- knowledge of Linux, Windows and IOS

- excellent command of the English language, oral and written

- ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

This is an in person position; no remote work available. Salary will depend on level of experience.

You must have reliable transportation, as transit to this area is limited.
