Red Road Recovery Centre in Lumby, BC is an Indigenous Based Recovery Residence located on over 110 acres of breathtaking landscape is looking for 3 Overnight- Clinical Support Staff to join their team!

Job description:

Pay: CA$22.00 - CA$29.00 per hour

Red Road Ranch is looking to add a valuable member to our team. As an Overnight- Support Staff you will work closely with the residents of our Assisted Living Recovery Residence.

Note: You will be working overnight, this is not a sleep shift.

Knowledge and experience (personal or professional ) of 12 Step Recovery is a job is strongly preferred.

***Reliable Transportation a Must***

***4 days on/ 4 days off - 12 hour shifts***

Purpose: The Overnight - Clinical Support Staff at Red Road Recovery is a critical role and responsible for monitoring cameras during the night and being a support to residents as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work as a team: Debrief with daytime staff leaving their shift and coming onto shift in the morning.

2. Monitor Grounds: Monitor cameras and do periodic rounds during the night to ensure residents are safe in their cabins & both lodges.

3. Morning Set-up: Unlock resident door at 5am and put on coffee in Main Lodge. Ensure quiet time until 6am.

4. Dispense Medications: Assist day staff with dispensing medications.

5. Provide emotional and practical support to residents: This includes listening to residents, providing guidance and advice, and helping them to cope with the challenges of recovery.

6. Monitor and document resident progress: This includes observing residents, taking notes, and keeping accurate progress records.

7. Provide crisis intervention: This includes being available to residents and providing support and assistance as needed.

8. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training: This includes regular and ongoing training to improve professional development and knowledge.

9. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

10. Ensure all common areas are clean & presentable (cups, books etc. put away).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role in a Supportive Recovery Residence or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Understanding and knowledge of addiction and recovery is an asset
  • Criminal Record Check

Pay: $22.00-$29.00 per hour
