Compensation
$52,500 - $98,300 CAD annually
Purpose
The Routing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily routing activities to ensure consistent, on-time deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
Responsibilities
- Use RoadNet software to plan and route daily deliveries for various sites as required.
- Complete nightly cross-regional routing activities for assigned Sysco facilities.
- Maintain and update RoadNet and IDS systems, including delivery time windows, new customer setup, and standard route planning.
- Plan and schedule daily backhaul pickups in collaboration with the Logistics department.
- Support the planning and execution of bi-annual route bids at applicable sites.
- Forecast fleet and manpower requirements for upcoming delivery schedules.
- Manage and coordinate returns, reships, and order re-keys.
- Communicate nightly routing updates, including Regular and SYW routes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve routing efficiencies and enhance the customer experience.
- Provide transportation analytics and reporting to department leadership as requested.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Generate orders through Sysco warehouse management systems.
- Design and optimize cubic floor plans for trailer loading, including pallet positioning, cube utilization, pallet height optimization, and efficient trailer configuration.
- Work safely with minimal environmental impact and immediately report all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills to a supervisor.
- Take an active role in personal safety and the safety of colleagues by identifying and reporting workplace hazards.
- Comply with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong geographical knowledge of service areas and map-reading skills.
- Experience with transportation routing across various modes (e.g., road, rail, water) is preferred.
- Foodservice distribution experience is considered an asset.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills are preferred.
- Knowledge of AS400 and Oracle WMS systems.
- Experience with Enterprise RoadNet or other dispatch and routing software is considered an asset.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatch, routing, transportation planning, or a related role.
- Bilingualism in English and French is required.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 25% travel required

- Effectuer chaque soir les activités de répartition interrégionales pour les établissements Sysco qui lui sont attribués.
- Tenir à jour et actualiser les systèmes RoadNet et IDS, notamment les plages horaires de livraison, la création de nouveaux clients et la planification des itinéraires standards.
- Planifier et coordonner les cueillettes quotidiennes de marchandises de retour (« backhaul ») en collaboration avec le service de la logistique.
- Participer à la planification et à la mise en œuvre des appels d'offres semestriels pour les itinéraires, dans les établissements concernés.
- Prévoir les besoins en véhicules et en main-d'œuvre pour les horaires de livraison à venir.
- Gérer et coordonner les retours, les réexpéditions et les modifications de commandes.
- Communiquer les mises à jour quotidiennes des itinéraires, y compris les itinéraires réguliers et SYW.
- Collaborer avec les équipes interfonctionnelles afin d'améliorer l'efficacité des itinéraires et l'expérience client.
- Fournir, sur demande, des analyses et des rapports sur le transport à la direction du service.
- Communiquer efficacement avec les intervenants à tous les niveaux de l'organisation.
- Créer des commandes à l'aide des systèmes de gestion d'entrepôt de Sysco.
- Concevoir et optimiser les plans de chargement tridimensionnels des remorques, notamment le positionnement des palettes, l'utilisation optimale de l'espace, l'optimisation de la hauteur des palettes et la configuration efficace des remorques.
- Travailler de façon sécuritaire en réduisant au minimum l'impact environnemental et signaler immédiatement tout danger, incident ou déversement environnemental à un superviseur.
- Jouer un rôle actif dans sa propre sécurité et celle de ses collègues en repérant et en signalant les dangers présents sur les lieux de travail.
- Respecter la politique et les procédures de salubrité alimentaire de Sysco afin de veiller au respect des exigences en matière de salubrité, de qualité et de conformité réglementaire des aliments.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe qui lui est confiée.
Compétences
- Excellente connaissance géographique des territoires desservis et aptitude à lire les cartes.
- Une expérience en planification d'itinéraires de transport utilisant différents modes de transport (p. ex. routier, ferroviaire, maritime) constitue un atout.
- Une expérience dans la distribution de produits alimentaires et de services alimentaires constitue un atout.
- Maîtrise intermédiaire des applications Microsoft Office; des compétences avancées sont souhaitées.
- Connaissance des systèmes AS400 et Oracle WMS.
- Une expérience avec Enterprise RoadNet ou d'autres logiciels de répartition et de planification d'itinéraires constitue un atout.
Formation
- Diplôme d'études secondaires ou l'équivalent requis.
- Une formation postsecondaire en logistique, transport, gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe constitue un atout.
Expérience
- Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience en répartition, planification d'itinéraires, planification du transport ou dans un poste connexe.
- Bilinguisme en français et en anglais requis.
Exigences relatives aux déplacements
