Summary

Join Steelcon to contribute to major infrastructure projects and support our mission of building lasting steel structures. This role is vital in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and supporting our construction teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse distribution activities efficiently.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely.
  • Pick, load, and unload materials accurately.
  • Maintain inventory using warehouse management systems.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Support construction-related logistics as needed.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and heavy equipment handling.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks safely.
  • Strong organizational skills for inventory management.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads regularly.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with warehouse management systems and previous work in construction or industrial environments.

Location, Shift, Hours of Work & Working Conditions

  • Location: Welland, ON
  • We are actively hiring for day, afternoon and weekend shifts
  • May be required to work additional hours based on plant needs
  • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
  • Requires standing, lifting, and walking throughout the shift.
