POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Lead Technical & Product Operations, the Data Analyst supports business decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. The role involves building and maintaining reliable data sets, developing dashboards, and delivering insights that enhance operational efficiency and support product testing initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with SQL (via SSMS), Power BI, Excel, and Python, and is comfortable working across data, product, and operational teams to ensure data integrity, accurate reporting, and smooth system enhancements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL and SSMS, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel reports to track key performance metrics and identify business trends.
- Build and optimize data models (DAX, Power Query, measures) to support self-service analytics.
- Automate recurring reporting tasks and schedule refreshes through Power BI Service or Python scripts.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable data solutions.
- Identify data discrepancies and perform reconciliations to maintain integrity across systems.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing of the Loan Origination and Administration systems - validating that system enhancements align with business requirements
- Document test results, update test cases, and collaborate with Product, Operations, and SME teams to resolve data or system issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics workflows, testing efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL and SSMS, including joins, aggregations, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, publishing, and scheduling).
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, charts, and macros).
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience in UAT or QA testing processes is an asset.
- Background in financial services, lending, or operational analytics is an advantage.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
