Overview

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection prevention and control standards.
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
Take and process digital radiographs (as permitted by certification).
Prepare dental materials and instruments for procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
Ensure operatories are stocked and organized.
Support smooth patient flow and deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

Certified Dental Assistant (Level I or Level II) recognized in Ontario. Preference given to candidate with 6+ months experience.
Current HARP certification.
Current CPR certification.
Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC) standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with dental practice management software is an asset.
