Kitchen Manager

We are currently looking for a friendly face to help run our Port Credit location!

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow recipes, portion control and presentation specification as set by the corporate standards
• Follow FIFO (First In First Out) to ensure quality and freshness of ingredients
• Assist in food inventory and control for costs
• Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
• Scheduling staff and ensuring employee moral and control for costs
• Food and labour remaining within the set standard budget for the restaurant
• Training staff and ensuring the set guidelines are met, while maintaining morale
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a fast-paced restaurant is an asset
• Experience in customer service and/or hospitality
• Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Able to stand for entirety of shift
• Ability to lead and guide staff
