Senior Accounting Analyst — 12-Month Contract

Aeolus Staffing Solutions is building a confidential candidate pipeline for an anticipated Senior Accounting Analyst opportunity with a large Ontario-based organization.

Contract Term: 12 months
Location: North York
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Compensation: $45.00–$60.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to accounting projects and process improvements.
• Support the continued effectiveness of financial controls.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or active progress toward completion is preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting or financial-reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
• Experience with account reconciliations, financial analysis and period-end reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with enterprise financial systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience within a large or complex organization is an asset.
