Dietary Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional nutritional care within assisted living. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation to ensure residents and patients receive nutritious and safe meals. Duties

• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and serving to residents and patients
• Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
• Prepare food items according to dietary guidelines and recipes
• Serve meals with professionalism and excellent customer service skills
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
• Support with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Follow all safety protocols related to food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with special dietary needs and accommodate individual preferences when possible
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and healthcare team to deliver quality nutritional services

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
• Familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
• Experience in meal preparation, serving, or kitchen work is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during meal times
• Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach towards residents or patients
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Type: Casual
