Truck Driver - AZ Flatbed – Local Construction Deliveries (Training Provided)

Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour (Performance-based wage increases after training)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible Weekday Schedule

We are looking for a motivated AZ Driver to join a growing construction equipment transportation team based in Whitby, Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the construction transportation industry. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training in transporting construction equipment, flatbed operations, and safe load securement.

The position will begin on a part-time basis (approximately 25–40 hours per week) and is expected to transition into full-time hours as business demand increases.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual transmission AZ trucks.
• Complete local deliveries of construction equipment and materials.
• Learn to safely load and unload construction equipment.
• Secure loads using straps and chains.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a strong safety record and professional attitude.
• Work closely with experienced team members during the training period.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence.
• Minimum 25 years of age (insurance requirement).
• Clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR.
• Experience driving manual transmission commercial trucks.
• Physically capable of strapping and securing loads.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation to the Whitby yard.

Assets

• Flatbed experience.
• Construction delivery experience.
• Experience with load securement.
• Moffett forklift experience.
• Heavy equipment operation experience.
