Summary

As a Construction Technician, you will provide technical services to a wide variety of construction projects, provide hands-on services for onsite technical projects, coordinate equipment maintenance activities and be dedicated to quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on concrete crack injection, concrete repair, utility/manhole hole sealing, soil stabilization for deep excavations, surface and underground grouting in mines, hydro-electric dam restoration grouting and controlling water inflows for tunnels
• Servicing equipment
• Mobilizing and demobilizing for projects
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately/safely
• Reporting on project activities and results to the Project Manager
• Following standard inventory procedures for site equipment management
• Performing other in-house duties as required.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of field experience in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of basic construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
• Safety-focused attitude and behaviour.
• Versatility – demands frequently change according to customers’ priorities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive pickup trucks with 20’ trailers.
• Ability to lift heavy loads.
• Willing to work extended and irregular hours – weekends & overnights.
• Ability to work out of town on 2-week rotations when required.
• Working in a team environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
