Overview

TEC is seeking dependable, team-oriented, & goal-driven individuals to join our growing family. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. We highly welcome people who share a love for horticulture, cleanliness & gardening or for those who want to be a part of the cannabis industry. You will play a critical role in supporting daily cultivation & sanitation activities while ensuring all workspaces and equipment meet strict compliance requirements.

What we are looking for

  • Cultivation technicians (day time)
  • Sanitation technicians (day/evening)

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Capable of performing manual labour (lifting, bending, standing/sitting for extended periods) throughout the day.
  • MUST pass a criminal background check (required for entry into Health Canada–licensed facilities).
  • 19+ years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Key Responsibilities (Cultivation)

  • Perform daily, hands-on tasks such as cloning, planting, transplanting, watering, feeding, pruning, disposal, trellising, and defoliating plants to ensure optimal health and yield.
  • Monitor and adjust climate conditions, including temperature, humidity, lighting, and CO2 levels in indoor or greenhouse environments.
  • Inspect plants for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, implementing IPM protocols.
  • Execute the harvesting of plants, followed by drying & curing.
  • Support irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or blockages and performing minor adjustments.
  • Maintain a strict, clean, and organized work environment, sanitizing tools, equipment, and grow rooms to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records of plant growth, inventory, chemical applications & other plant tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all facility operations.

Key Responsibilities (Sanitation)

  • Perform daily and scheduled cleaning of designated areas, including production rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment, floors, and high-touch areas
  • Follow strict Health Canada and company sanitation protocols.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with WHMIS standards
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently to maintain a clean environment.
  • Report maintenance or sanitation issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Complete required checklists and documentation for compliance records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all facility operations.

Experience

  • Prior experience with irrigation systems, horticulture or sanitation is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific duties.
  • WHMIS (Can be trained).
  • Familiarity with hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience in gardening or landscaping enhances efficiency but is not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Basic math skills for measuring materials or quantities related to gardening or sanitation tasks.

Pay Rate

  • $17-$18.50 an hour (Depends on experience).
