We are looking to hire up-and-coming Produce Managers who want to build a career and are interested in learning about being a Produce Shift Manager in our Tsawwassen location.

Previous management or leadership experience is required, but we can teach the ins and outs of the department specific tasks for Produce.

Duties involved:

  • Give customers the best possible experience! Ensure our Meridian service and hospitality standards are delivered to customers through every touch point of their department and store experience.
  • Be accountable for proper product rotation and removal of outdated product.
  • Place product purchase orders from designated approved vendors.
  • Receive product following receiving guidelines; repetitive lifting is required.
  • Monitor and manage category operational costs, sales, and profit.
  • Challenge current practices and develop and execute plans for continuous improvements in efficiency and customer experience.
  • Routinely communicate with Department Manager, Store Manager and Category Manager to discuss activities and challenges, and to develop strategies for a more efficient and successful operation
  • Manage inventory control and out-of-stock items
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with managers and team members, strive for harmony and teamwork with all other company staff and stakeholders.
  • on-boarding and training staff with support of company management
  • Manage product selection, quality, freshness, and packaging standards at all times
  • Strive to achieve profit targets

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.50 per hour
