Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Driver to operate commercial freight vehicles across long distances. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance with transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will possess skills in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and have a strong understanding of freight handling and logistics. This position offers an opportunity to work with a reputable company committed to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. We pay 0.67$ per mile.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate long-haul trucks to transport freight across regional and national routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transit
  • Assist in securing cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation
  • Keep logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and freight details for compliance purposes

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
  • Experience in freight transportation and long-distance driving preferred
  • Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
  • Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and DOT compliance standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy freight and operating heavy machinery
  • Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening prior to employment
