Maintenance Technician Team Lead

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician Team Lead for our client located in the Scarborough area. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of leadership and background within manufacturing, in particular the Food, Pharma or Cosmetics industry

Job Responsibilities:

• Procure and source all required replacement parts and materials
• Plan, organize, and schedule maintenance activities for production equipment
• Supervise maintenance operations and inspect critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, heating and ventilation, to ensure reliable performance
• Promote continuous hands-on support by performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, servicing equipment, and assisting with maintenance tasks as required
• Evaluate technicians’ performance and provide coaching to support continuous improvement
• Coordinate and oversee the work of external service providers including plumbers and electricians
• Develop and implement detailed maintenance plans covering both preventative and corrective activities
• Contribute to maintenance budgeting by helping prioritize repair projects, monitoring expenditures, and proving recommendations for cost-effective maintenance spending
• Manage and coordinate contractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in according with company standards
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician Team Lead within the Food/Pharma and Cosmetics industries
• Experience with SAP, ERP and CMMS
• Knowledge and experience of Heating, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Ventilation systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proven track record of exemplary leadership skills

Work Schedule: Day Shift

Pay: $35-39/hr. (Dependent on experience)
