We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the company’s financial stability and growth. This role requires a strong combination of financial management, bookkeeping, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the company’s financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to the company’s financial stability and business growth.
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping while applying strong financial management and financial analysis skills to handle multiple responsibilities in a professional and efficient manner.

Primary Duties

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and submit accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Cost Management: Identify and recommend strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and maintain healthy cash flow to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Budgeting: Develop and manage fixed and flexible budgets, and forecast financial needs to meet operational obligations.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory processes to ensure efficient inventory management and cost control.
Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with federal and provincial laws and financial regulations.
Process Development: Establish financial team procedures, manage invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll, while maintaining financial accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in financial management or bookkeeping; experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese; Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
