Material Handler

Elma Steel & Equipment Ltd., a metal service centre, is a family owned company established in 1970 with locations in Listowel, Owen Sound and Cambridge.

We have immediate openings at the Listowel branch for a material handler to join our warehouse team

We are unable to sponsor Work Visas at this time. Candidates must already be authorized to work in Canada. If you are not, please do not apply.

The successful candidates will ideally have previous experience with steel and or working in a warehouse setting. If you are a hands on person with an interest in the industrial side of the workforce, come be a part of our team.

We require a reliable individual who is a team player. This person should also be able to work independently.

Good mathematical knowledge and ability to use tape measure required. Good oral and written communication abilities are required.

Duties:

The specific duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Competently use metal cutting equipment, eg. bandsaw, mag drill, gas saw and small shop tools.

2. Load, unload and move product with forklift or by hand

3. Fill customer orders.

3. Organize and maintain inventory

4. Competently use material moving equipment, i.e forklift.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
